Ellen Pabst von Ohain knows that humans use different methods to communicate and connect with others. As we explore topics that help us define what it is to be human such as through worldwide politics, environmental trends or human relationships, we also explore the connections between ideas. This blog is about connections.

Refugees buying one-way tickets home after finding Germany intolerable
http://www.latimes.com/world/europe/la-fg-germany-refugees-20160301-story.html
Structured, controlled exercise involving comments from a diverse audience.
Refugees are coming to Germany because of different reasons. So, for those ones who are escaping war, why should they have such big expectations (as big villa, etc) about the life which they will find in Germany? If their life is in danger, a high level standard is not at all be the most important topic.
It seems to me - regarding the statements of the refugees - that the german authorities create such an uncomfortable environment for the refugees that they leave "voluntarly".
Dear Anonymous, I agree with your opinion. I think one big problem is, that a few germans and some of the newaspapers create a feeling of fear within the german society. They accumulate only the bad issues, which refugees are involved in and that casts a pall over the "good" things. So the refugees have no chance to show their positve sides. Nobody is interrested in...
I think the refugees who are staying in Germany must be allowed to bring their families to Germany too. Otherwise the lonely situation of them (without family)will cause many social problems.
