Here's a description of the training course coming up in June..
Saturday (One) - June 11th
• Warm-up and 'get to know each other' period. This will be essential since in teams, we will use each other's considerable professional experience to support our own development.
• Clarifying Who You Are: Describing your skills, defining your work experience. We will learn to synthesize the explanation of what we can do in general and what we do best.
• Analysis of the Company, the Position and how the firm is marketing their Candidate Search: Jobs you are seeking and qualify for may be similar but they are posted in various ways. We'll look at how to profile a firm by researching their market and activities and learn to 'read between the lines' to find out as much as possible about who they really want to attract.
• The CV Layout and the Importance of the Cover Letter: Use the narrow window of opportunity available to relay the most important information. We'll concentrate on getting your most important message written "above the fold". And, we'll see about making your Cover Letter 'sexy'. :)
• Exploring the power of Graphics: Using Slides in a PowerPoint Presentation. This is the use of Social Media to spread your name and profile as widely as possible.

Saturday (Two) - June 18th
• Fine-Tuning your tools: We will review the CV and Cover Letter and we'll see the Slides that you have created. Feedback will be used for you to hear how your message is getting across.
• Job Interviews conducted. You'll practice selling yourself using your new tools.
Methods
We'll use a combination of PowerPoint Presentations, role plays, face-to-face consultation, your own submitted work and the exchange of our collective experience.
We'll have a private room at The Mein Arbeitstraum Business Center. http://www.mein-arbeitstraum.de/. The Center is located at Freibadstr. 30 in 81543 München-Untergiesing. It is a comfortable and intimate setting with full business and technical support as well as kitchen facilities.
